Friday night at a birthday dinner for two wonderful friends of mine, the question, "What is your favorite kids' animated movie?" went around the table. We never got to me so I think I will just answer them here. I love Ratatouille and How to Train Your Dragon.
And now I love Tangled.
I love that I saw it with my little girl who said, "Mom, I want really long hair. No wait, I want to be a dragon with really long hair. A purple dragon." Usually Dave is the one that takes the kids to see the animated movies, but I felt that Tangled should be me. It's a PRINCESS movie. Dads don't take daughters to PRINCESS movies. So my mom and daughter and I made a date out of it. A good choice. It's funny, clever, cute, scary, and I loved it. Have I mentioned yet that I loved it? I mean, I will probably buy it the day it comes out on DVD. Or BlueRay since I guess we have converted against my will.
Don't tell my daughter, but she is also getting a Barbie Rapunzel doll for Christmas. Not because she has asked for it. The doll has really long hair and I want to play with her. I'm channeling my inner barbie playing child. We'll see how that goes.
