Thursday's Smoothie

Today's smoothie idea was brought to you by my dear friend, Rachel!  I have learned more about eating sticks, twigs, and leaves from her in the past few months than I have known in my entire lifetime.  Because of her I have revamped my pantry.

Rachel is doing a 21 day Green Smoothie Queen cleanse and I have been getting ideas from what she is doing.  

I started with half of an 11 oz. container of Vita Coco 100% pure coconut water
Then I filled the rest of my Vitamix (which I could not live without) with filtered water from my fridge up to 2 cups
I added three drops of wild orange oil
I added a couple of pinches of Bob's Unsweetened Coconut Flakes
I added a banana 
I added about 3/4 cup of frozen blueberries
A bunch of baby spinach
I added a scoop of chocolate shakeology 
And finally, I added a tablespoon of chia seeds

The result?  A coconut, banana, orange-chocolate smoothie.

  1. I've been doing green smoothies for about two months now. Love them! I just do 1/2 water and 1/2 orange juice. I put in a little organic yogurt, baby spinach, kale, frozen bananas and other assorted frozen fruit I have on hand and voila...Delicious!
