Day Two - Healing Hashimoto's Disease - Not Nearly As Sleepy

Day Two - Healing Hashimoto's Disease - Not Nearly As Sleepy

Meige's disease (lymphedema praecox). This hereditary disorder often causes lymphedema in childhood or around puberty, though it can occur in your 20s or early 30s. It causes your lymph vessels to form without the valves that keep lymph fluid from flowing backward, making it difficult for your body to properly drain the lymph fluid from your limbs. - Mayo Clinic

Yesterday my husband came home and didn't immediately sit down in a chair and fall asleep.  That's a pretty big deal!  He hasn't been sleepy at work, either.  This is huge, since for the past few months he has been coming home and crashing daily.  I had my lymphedema appointment and it sounds like the plan is sort of a physical therapy of sorts.  That is how I am treating it, anyway.  They are putting together a plan for me, and then I will do two weeks of intensive therapy with compression and massage and all sorts of machines that they use to get the lymphatic system going.  After that, the sessions are as needed.  The woman I met with said that I should research Meige's Disease.  I had never heard of it, but it rings true.  I told her that I use essential oils to keep my legs free from bacteria so that I don't get cellulitis as often and she was excited.  I feel like I'm ahead of the game.

Food Additives in Everything

This morning I headed to Costco to load up on all of the food we need.  I was amazed at just how much I couldn't get after reading the labels.  The clinic has him avoiding:

gluten
sugar
dairy
soy
corn
wheat
tomatoes

There is probably more, but I can't remember it off the top of my head.  My dad gave us some salmon caught locally, so we grilled it for dinner and I made tacos with romaine leaves.  I'm trying to stick to vegan before dinner as much as possible, because I still feel like I need to not eat as much meat.  I'm also just focusing on chicken and fish, although I really don't like chicken.

In further news, I'm not supposed to do any exercise that really gets my heart pumping, because it causes fluid to build up in my legs, which causes even more problems with my lymphatic system.  I was told to focus on gentle walking, swimming, and yoga (but not bikram).  I just bought PiYo, so I am going to try a modified version of it.

Ideal LifeVision Coach Certification

Today I started training as an Ideal LifeVision Coach.  I'm putting into my updated LifeVision all of the changes that we are making in our eating plan.  I'm really excited to see what shows up after I create it, which will happen over the next few days.  I'm also excited to offer coaching to the women I train in business, helping them create their LifeVision for their Professional and Financial goals, as well as helping homeschool moms.  I also have created a homeschool system to help support those goals, and have been using it with my own kids for the past couple of years.  I'm quite overwhelmed with gratitude at what has come into my life!
