I always know that the Holidays are here when Uncle Kelly comes to town. This year I am particularly excited because my hope and dream is that the built-in bookshelves that were started two years ago in my basement will be completed this year. My books have been lining the hallways downstairs and I haven't been able to finish painting the stairwell because why would I do that when I am going to need to paint the shelves? Two years later...
Well, let's just say my patience is running thin.
So we are rejoicing that Uncle Kelly is here and that we are "exchanging" Christmas presents with him. His present to us is to help finish the shelves (he created the original design) and our present to him was a parking pass to a national park in Alaska. We are totally practical around here.
