Day 9 - The Art of Feng Shui and My Office

Day 9 - The Art of Feng Shui and My Office

Alright, no - this isn't exactly Feng Shui.  It's also 11:18pm and I'm tired, but I just got excited at the productivity that happened today.  Oooh - that lamp looks like it has a guardian angel surrounding it.  I think I'll go with that.  Truly, like a person just leaning against the wall watching over me.  Inspiring me.  Hmmmm.

Today my son was at Scout camp and my daughter had finished her schoolwork, so I decided to rearrange my office.  I clearly haven't found a spot for everything, yet, but that isn't the point.  The point is, as soon as I turned my desk 90 degrees (it was facing the window) my productivity kicked into high gear.  You see, I have been mapping out and planning an online training for my Inspire the Sprouts Homeschool System, since we are gearing up for school starting again, but it seemed like I just couldn't get the inspiration I needed to START.  Does that ever happen to you?  I get all of these great ideas that just swim around in my head and never come to fruition.  It's frustrating.  But, today it was the opposite.  Today I was in creation mode.  Today I created the 10 page workbook and 3 audios.  Now I just have 5 training videos to create and it will be ready to roll.  I have created the whole thing with my friend Lyndsie in mind, since she is starting her homeschool journey this year.  It's really fun creating an entire program with a very clear picture of who will use it!

Spit Test and Why My Husband Thinks He is Funny

I got to do a spit test today and I'm not entirely sure why.  Something to do with all of these new health things going on.  It's really gross - spitting into a tube four times during the day, and you have to spit 5 ml worth!  That's a lot!  It has to be timed perfectly, too.  My husband had to do it last week so he prepared me a bit.  At dinner we were discussing his test results that came back for food allergies.  He's barely allergic to anything, but what showed up was dairy and almonds.  The following conversation took place (roughly):

Me:  Hey, your brother is getting married Saturday.  I told him to call you for expert advice.
Husband:  Me?  What would I tell him?
Me:  That the most important thing is that I am happy. :)
Husband:  Yes, that is right.  That is what is the most important.  And that goes both ways - taking care of each others' needs.
Me:  Do I take care of your needs?
Husband:  Yes...but you mask it well.

Ha!  Well, he clarified and said I mask it in things like making sure he is eating healthy, blah blah blah.  It reminded me of the one time I said, "Do you love me?"  He said, "I love you just enough!"  Ahh well, it keeps us laughing.

Day 9

Breakfast - Regular Smoothie - water, almond milk, greens, pineapple, banana, protein mix

Lunch - Quinoa Salad and a plum

Dinner - grilled chicken on a bed of romaine with Cynthia Sumner's Strawberry Vinaigrette

Essential Oil for the Day

My favorite laundry detergent is the OnGuard Laundry Detergent created from the OnGuard essential oil blend.  It has a spicy smell, and gets clothes smelling clean.  In fact, I use OnGuard in cleaning as well!
