I Love People (or - what is your favorite thing about you?)

For the past six months as I have gone through all of this coaching I have focused on figuring out a Purpose for myself.  The irony is that I have now come full circle and just re-recognized what I love to do.

I love people.  I really do.  I love connecting people with other people who will somehow help them.  I love that I have all of these people that I have built up relationships over the past 39 years that I can help if they need me to help them.  That is how I get my energy.  True story.

That might make me somewhat unusual, because, when I share what I am doing with people, sometimes they respond with, "I could never do that."  And to them it seems hard and to me it seems like a no-brainer.  However, this morning my son came to me and asked me if I could sew the hole in his pants pocket and that seemed really hard to me and my next door neighbor would have whipped out a needle and thread and had that done in five seconds flat.

So what is hard for some is easy for others and vice versa and that is how the world goes round.  If I need someone to sew, I know people who will do it.  Isn't that awesome?  And if you need me to find you a job or help you with a resume or connect you with someone who does something that you don't do...I probably know someone that can help with that.  I will admit that after a lifetime of cultivating these relationships, it is my favorite thing about me.

  1. That is totally why I love you, the person that you are! :)

  2. Isn't it great to recognize what you are good at instead of nit picking at yourself and concentrating on the skills or attributes you lack!? So many times that becomes the focus, which is sad!

  3. You could also learn to sew up a pocket hole. It's not hard.
