Motivation

A couple of nights ago at our Health and Fitness Club, we had a new woman show up.  She is the daughter of a woman that goes to church with me.  The irony is that I met her randomly last Halloween when she was out trick or treating with her kids.  We had a big movie screen set up in the front yard so quite a few people stopped to chat.

This week we talked about sabotage.  We are 7 weeks into the new year and most resolutions have worn off and Valentine's Day meals have been consumed so everyone has been sidetracked.  We talked about food sabotage AND exercise sabotage.  There were some great ideas thrown out.   Afterward I spent some time talking to the woman about why she came to join us.  Turns out, she took Body Pump and Body Combat classes and loved them a few years ago.  I told her about Les Mills PUMP and how I am keeping myself motivated by setting up these Challenge Groups.  She jumped in!  I love those moments when I find someone who is where I was a year ago.  While I am a Beachbody Coach because I want it to be a business, if I wasn't actually helping people or myself in the process it wouldn't be worth it.  I want to look back at the end of the year and rejoice with friends who have been able to take control of their own health.  Whether that is by joining my challenges and using Beachbody workouts or doing it on their own, I am tired of feeling like I live in a culture that is only dominated by food and not health.  The way to change that for myself is to find the other people who want to make the same changes and do it with like-minded people.

In the past few weeks we have had 8 people join us as coaches, wanting to make a difference in their own circle with the support of real people who are seeking better health.  It is so much fun!  It is so motivating when a friend comes to me and tells me that they have been drinking green smoothies for three weeks and their sinuses have cleared up.  Or friends who say, "I LOVE Shakeology and it clears me out!"  That's my favorite.

I have no illusions that I am supposed to help everyone I come in contact with.  Honestly - I have plenty of people who hate what I am doing.  That's fine.  They aren't my motivation.  My goal this year is to help 40 women (or couples) achieve the health that they are looking for.  My goal is to stay motivated myself so that I can be a cheerleader for them.  And if they are also looking to build a business, I have plenty of experience in that over the past couple of years and can help with it as well.  But more than any other reason, I became a Beachbody coach because I love what they stand for.  They are working to fight obesity. That is what I am doing as well - both for myself and for others who just want someone to say, "Keep going!"

If this is something that you want for yourself, message me.  My April Challenge group is close to filling up already.  I decided to create a Facebook Page called Sanity Fitness as an interim coaching program to help people mentally prepare for the 90 day Challenges so that they can get the most out of them.  If you are interested in that preview, you can sign up for a FREE Team Beachbody Club membership.  It will give you the opportunity to decide if being part of these challenges is for you.
