30 Days of Thanks - Day Four Power
I have had a few friends affected by Hurricane Sandy. One friend lives in Seaside in Brooklyn. Her house has flooded and her car has flooded. There is no power and her family is staying with friends. Another friend is helping out gathering supplies for shelters. Hundreds of thousands of people are still without power. When you are across the country from a disaster, you feel helpless. You wonder how you really can make a difference. You wonder what you would do if you were in a disaster and you start to look around and see what needs to change. I live in earthquake territory. Next Saturday we have plans to inventory our food storage and emergency supplies to make sure that we are in good shape.
