Day 22: Friends and the No Good Very Bad Rice

Day 22:  Friends and the No Good Very Bad Rice

I have some ridiculously beautiful friends who hang out with me because I'm the smart one. :)  The blond in the middle is my friend, Jen Hudgins (Cup of Joe with Jen) who was in town from Tulsa for a few days so we got together for dinner.  On the left, Jeffery and Tonya Olson.  Jeff is a best-selling author of two books, and Tonya is the author of a book called Room Recipes.  Margie Aliprandi built a massive networking marketing business over the past couple of decades, and Rachelle Wathen is paid thousands of dollars by high-end clients to create amazing hair styles.  I just met Trent, but he seems lovely.

Anyway, I love people who are out doing amazing things and I love sharing what they do with the world, because I believe that the world needs more information about people doing amazing things.

On that note - last night I got to introduce brown rice back into my eating plan.  It was not a pleasant experience, so I think I will be keeping it out for the time being.  Next up, eggs.

The Homeschool System Officially Launches

A few weeks ago I had a huge download into my brain that I believe came from God, that I needed to create a system to teach people how I manage business and homeschool.  I'm not one to argue with my Creator, so I jumped in and did it.  I am hosting it on Wisdom Window, and it officially launches tomorrow at a homeschool conference that is being held locally.  It's really exciting to be able to offer a program that has helped me so much.

Almost Apple Pie Recipe

1 tart apple, peeled, sliced thin
2 Tbsp. water
1/4 banana, over-ripe
1 Tbsp. coconut oil, melted
4-5 drops vanilla extract
cinnamon to taste
nuts (optional)

Place apple slices and water in a microwave safe dish.  Microwave on high until apple is tender.  Drain excess water.  Melt coconut oil in microwave.  Mash together oil, banana, cinnamon and vanilla.  Pour mixture over apple slices.  Top with nuts if desired.  Serve warm.
